End User License Agreement
ArtifactPilot End User License Agreement
Effective Date: May 22, 2026
Version: 1.3
Product: ArtifactPilot developer workspace cleanup assistant
Publisher/Licensor: NH Media LLC
PLEASE READ THIS END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT CAREFULLY. BY INSTALLING, COPYING, DOWNLOADING, ACCESSING, ACTIVATING, OR USING ArtifactPilot, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT INSTALL OR USE ArtifactPilot.
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between the person or entity that installs, accesses, activates, or uses ArtifactPilot ("you" or "Licensee") and NH Media LLC ("NH Media," "Licensor," "we," "us," or "our"). If you acquired ArtifactPilot through a marketplace, payment platform, reseller, or merchant of record, that platform may be involved in payment, refund, tax, download, account, or support administration, but NH Media LLC remains the publisher/licensor of ArtifactPilot unless a separate written agreement signed by NH Media LLC states otherwise.
1. Definitions
1.1 "ArtifactPilot" or "Software" means the ArtifactPilot desktop application, installer, executable files, source files if provided, documentation, updates, upgrades, scripts, icons, configuration files, license tools, and related materials supplied by Licensor.
1.2 "Seat" means one individual human user authorized to use the Software. A shared account, shared license key, shared purchase code, shared workstation, or automated user does not create additional Seats.
1.3 "Device" means a desktop, laptop, virtual machine, or other computer on which the Software is installed or used.
1.4 "Marketplace" means a third-party marketplace, payment platform, reseller, or merchant-of-record service through which the Software is licensed, sold, activated, downloaded, or supported. Marketplace includes Envato Market, CodeCanyon, Lemon Squeezy, Gumroad, or similar platforms.
1.5 "CodeCanyon/Envato" means CodeCanyon and the related Envato Market purchase, license, author-support, account, refund, and download systems applicable to a CodeCanyon transaction.
1.6 "Merchant of Record" means a payment or commerce provider that handles customer purchases, taxes, chargebacks, refunds, and related payment compliance for a transaction.
1.7 "Cleanup Candidate" means any file, folder, cache, dependency directory, build artifact, temporary item, or other item that ArtifactPilot detects, flags, previews, reports, moves, or attempts to move to the Recycle Bin/Trash.
2. License Grant
2.1 Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and payment of all applicable fees, NH Media LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use ArtifactPilot for its intended purpose: reviewing developer workspace storage usage and moving selected developer cleanup candidates to the operating system Recycle Bin/Trash.
2.2 Unless your purchase receipt, marketplace license, or separate written agreement states otherwise, one license authorizes one Seat to use ArtifactPilot on up to two Devices controlled by that same Seat, provided ArtifactPilot is not used concurrently by multiple people.
2.3 You may make one reasonable backup copy of the Software solely for archival or reinstall purposes. Any backup copy must include all proprietary notices, license notices, and documentation supplied with the Software.
2.4 Certain demo, evaluation, development, testing, or unlicensed builds may allow partial or full functionality without activation. Such functionality does not transfer ownership of the Software, waive this Agreement, grant redistribution rights, or permit commercial use beyond the scope stated by NH Media LLC or the applicable purchase terms.
3. Marketplace Purchases, CodeCanyon/Envato, and Lemon Squeezy
3.1 If you acquire ArtifactPilot through CodeCanyon/Envato, the applicable Envato Market license terms, Envato Market User Terms, CodeCanyon listing terms, author support terms, purchase-code system, download rules, refund rules, and account rules also apply to your purchase and use of ArtifactPilot.
3.2 CodeCanyon/Envato licenses may use license categories such as Regular License or Extended License. Those marketplace license categories do not transfer ownership of ArtifactPilot, do not make ArtifactPilot open source, and do not grant redistribution rights beyond what the applicable marketplace license and this Agreement allow.
3.3 ArtifactPilot is intended to be licensed as a desktop tool/application for use by the original purchaser or authorized Seat. Unless the applicable marketplace license or a separate written agreement signed by NH Media LLC expressly permits otherwise, you may not redistribute ArtifactPilot, include ArtifactPilot in another product, resell ArtifactPilot, make ArtifactPilot available as a hosted service, or provide ArtifactPilot as a downloadable component of an end product.
3.4 If you acquire ArtifactPilot through Lemon Squeezy or another Merchant of Record, that provider may handle payment processing, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, receipts, license-key issuance, customer portal access, and related commerce functions. NH Media LLC remains the software publisher/licensor and controls the Software license except where mandatory marketplace or merchant-of-record terms govern the transaction.
3.5 If there is a direct conflict between this Agreement and mandatory terms of the Marketplace governing your transaction, the mandatory Marketplace terms control only to the extent required to resolve that conflict. All other provisions of this Agreement continue to apply.
3.6 Marketplace refund, payment, download, support-extension, tax, account, and dispute procedures are controlled by the applicable Marketplace or Merchant of Record. NH Media LLC is not responsible for marketplace account access, payment processing outages, marketplace service interruptions, or platform-side eligibility decisions.
4. Ownership
4.1 ArtifactPilot is licensed, not sold. NH Media LLC and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all copyrights, trade secrets, trademarks, source code, object code, user interface designs, icons, documentation, and other intellectual property rights.
4.2 This Agreement does not grant you any rights in NH Media LLC's trademarks, service marks, logos, product names, domain names, or branding except as necessary to identify the Software truthfully.
5. Restrictions
Except to the extent applicable law prohibits these restrictions, you must not:
(a) copy, distribute, publish, upload, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, lend, share, transfer, or make ArtifactPilot available to any third party except as expressly allowed by this Agreement;
(b) share, publish, resell, transfer, or make available any license key, purchase code, activation token, installer, account credential, or download link;
(c) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive source code from, or bypass technical protections of the Software, except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
(d) modify, adapt, translate, fork, create derivative works of, or rebrand ArtifactPilot for redistribution, unless NH Media LLC has expressly provided written permission;
(e) remove, obscure, or alter copyright notices, license notices, attribution notices, warnings, or proprietary markings;
(f) use ArtifactPilot to provide a managed cleanup service, hosted cleanup service, multi-user service bureau, shared internal tool, or paid consulting service for third parties unless you have purchased sufficient licenses or obtained written permission from NH Media LLC;
(g) use ArtifactPilot in a way that violates law, infringes third-party rights, harms systems, bypasses security controls, or attempts to delete or damage data without authorization;
(h) use ArtifactPilot as the basis for a competing product or service that substantially replicates ArtifactPilot's functionality, workflow, user interface, safety model, or documentation;
(i) use ArtifactPilot on systems where you do not have legal authority to scan, review, or move files.
6. Safety-Critical User Responsibilities
6.1 ArtifactPilot is a review-first cleanup assistant. It is not a substitute for backups, version control, professional system administration, security review, or careful human judgment.
6.2 You are solely responsible for reviewing every scan result, cleanup candidate, dry-run preview, risk label, warning, path, size estimate, and confirmation dialog before approving any cleanup operation.
6.3 ArtifactPilot is designed to move approved items to the operating system Recycle Bin/Trash when available, not permanently delete them. However, Recycle Bin/Trash behavior can vary by operating system, drive type, file system, permissions, network location, removable media, path length, policy setting, and system configuration. You must verify that cleanup behavior is appropriate for your environment before relying on it.
6.4 You are responsible for maintaining current backups of your projects, source code, configuration files, virtual environments, dependencies, build outputs, local databases, credentials, and other data before using ArtifactPilot.
6.5 You understand that developer folders can contain files that appear disposable but may still be valuable to a particular workflow. Examples include generated artifacts, local dependency folders, build outputs, caches, notebooks, compiled files, test outputs, package folders, and tool-specific directories. ArtifactPilot cannot know the business value of every file in every project.
6.6 You must not use ArtifactPilot to scan or clean systems, folders, drives, projects, or accounts that you are not authorized to manage.
6.7 You should test ArtifactPilot on a small, non-critical folder before using it on important workspaces.
7. Safety Limitations and No Perfect Detection
7.1 ArtifactPilot includes safety checks, protected-location rules, dry-run preview, risk labels, long-path warnings, and Recycle Bin/Trash behavior where available. These safeguards reduce risk but cannot eliminate all risk.
7.2 ArtifactPilot may miss cleanup opportunities, incorrectly estimate size, classify items differently than expected, fail to move items, display incomplete information, or flag an item that you prefer to keep.
7.3 NH Media LLC does not guarantee that ArtifactPilot will find all junk files, avoid all valuable files, recover storage in any particular amount, operate without interruption, or be error-free in every system configuration.
8. License Activation, Validation, and Machine Identifier
8.1 Some builds of ArtifactPilot may require license activation or validation. If activation is enabled, ArtifactPilot may transmit license keys, purchase codes, activation status, product identifiers, application version, activation timestamps, instance identifiers, and limited technical information necessary to validate the license.
8.2 To enforce license limits and reduce license sharing, ArtifactPilot may generate and transmit a unique pseudonymous machine identifier during activation or validation. In current builds, this identifier is derived from local device and operating-system attributes, such as hostname, platform information, machine architecture, and operating-system username, and then cryptographically hashed before use. ArtifactPilot is designed so the standard activation identifier sent by the application is the hashed identifier rather than the raw source values. A licensing provider, Marketplace, Merchant of Record, or NH Media LLC license-verification proxy may store this identifier as an activation instance record.
8.3 If CodeCanyon/Envato purchase-code verification is enabled, ArtifactPilot may send your purchase code, product name, application version, and pseudonymous machine identifier to an NH Media LLC-controlled verification endpoint. That endpoint may verify the purchase code with Envato/CodeCanyon systems. NH Media LLC should not embed Envato seller credentials directly into a desktop build.
8.4 License activation may be handled by third-party providers, marketplace systems, or NH Media LLC-controlled verification systems. Those providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
8.5 NH Media LLC may suspend, revoke, or refuse activation of licenses that are refunded, charged back, shared, leaked, abused, fraudulently obtained, or used in violation of this Agreement.
8.6 You are responsible for keeping your license key or purchase code confidential. NH Media LLC is not responsible for unauthorized use caused by your disclosure, device compromise, or account compromise.
9. Privacy and Local Data
9.1 ArtifactPilot is intended to be local-first. By default, ArtifactPilot does not need to upload scan results, file contents, source code, cleanup manifests, workspace paths, or cleanup candidate lists to NH Media LLC in order to perform local scanning and cleanup.
9.2 ArtifactPilot may create local settings, logs, CSV reports, JSON manifests, and activity records on your Device so you can review scans and cleanup actions.
9.3 If license activation, online validation, support, error reporting, or marketplace verification is enabled or requested, additional limited information may be processed as described in this Agreement, the ArtifactPilot Privacy & Data Handling Notice, and the applicable service provider's terms.
9.4 Payment-card data, billing addresses, tax data, chargeback handling, and refund processing are handled by the applicable Marketplace, payment processor, or Merchant of Record, not by ArtifactPilot unless separately stated.
10. Updates, Upgrades, and Support
10.1 NH Media LLC may provide updates, bug fixes, enhancements, compatibility changes, documentation revisions, or new versions at its discretion. NH Media LLC is not obligated to provide any particular update, feature, compatibility fix, or version unless required by the purchase terms.
10.2 Updates may modify, add, remove, or replace features, rules, warnings, UI elements, license behavior, or documentation.
10.3 Support is provided only as stated on the purchase page, marketplace listing, receipt, included support policy, or separate written support policy. If you purchased through CodeCanyon/Envato, the Marketplace's item support period, support-extension rules, and support communication requirements may apply. If you purchased through Lemon Squeezy or another Merchant of Record, the support channel and refund procedure stated on the product page, checkout, receipt, or customer portal may apply.
10.4 Support does not include custom development, custom rule writing, business consulting, data recovery, operating system repair, recovery of deleted or moved files, remediation of unsupported environments, or hands-on administration of your computer unless NH Media LLC expressly agrees in writing.
10.5 Refund eligibility is governed by the applicable purchase terms, Marketplace policy, Merchant-of-Record policy, mandatory law, and any refund policy supplied by NH Media LLC for the transaction. This Agreement does not override mandatory consumer rights or mandatory marketplace refund procedures.
11. Third-Party Components and Notices
11.1 ArtifactPilot may include, bundle, call, or be built with third-party software, libraries, runtimes, frameworks, build tools, icon tools, installer tools, licensing services, or operating system APIs. Those components are subject to their own licenses and notices.
11.2 Third-party components are provided by their respective owners. NH Media LLC does not claim ownership of third-party components and does not modify their license terms.
11.3 Third-party notices are included in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt or another accompanying notices file supplied with the Software. The installer and release package should include that notices file when third-party components are bundled or used in distribution.
11.4 Nothing in this Agreement limits rights you may have under applicable open-source licenses for third-party components. If a third-party license grants you rights that conflict with this Agreement, the third-party license controls only for that third-party component.
12. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, bug reports, ideas, feature requests, reviews, or other feedback, you grant NH Media LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, publish, and incorporate that feedback into ArtifactPilot or related products without obligation to compensate you.
13. Confidential and Pre-Release Materials
If ArtifactPilot is provided as a beta, preview, internal test build, unreleased build, or confidential build, you may not disclose, publish, benchmark, redistribute, or publicly discuss that build without NH Media LLC's written permission.
14. No Warranty
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ARTIFACTPILOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. NH MEDIA LLC DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, AND OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, QUIET ENJOYMENT, SECURITY, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, ERROR-FREE OPERATION, AND DATA PRESERVATION.
NH MEDIA LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ARTIFACTPILOT WILL IDENTIFY EVERY CLEANUP CANDIDATE, AVOID EVERY FALSE POSITIVE, PRESERVE OR RESTORE ALL DATA, OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION, WORK WITH EVERY FILE SYSTEM, OPERATING SYSTEM CONFIGURATION, SECURITY POLICY, ANTIVIRUS PRODUCT, NETWORK DRIVE, REMOVABLE DRIVE, DISPLAY SCALING SETTING, OR DEVELOPMENT WORKFLOW, OR MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS.
15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NH MEDIA LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR ENHANCED DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST BUSINESS, LOST GOODWILL, LOST DATA, LOST SOURCE CODE, LOST CONFIGURATION, SYSTEM DOWNTIME, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, COST OF SUBSTITUTE SOFTWARE, COST OF DATA RECOVERY, OR CLAIMS BY THIRD PARTIES, EVEN IF NH MEDIA LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NH MEDIA LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ARTIFACTPILOT, THIS AGREEMENT, SUPPORT, ACTIVATION, OR ANY CLEANUP OPERATION WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR ARTIFACTPILOT IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
16. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NH Media LLC from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or relating to your unauthorized use of ArtifactPilot, breach of this Agreement, violation of law, violation of third-party rights, or cleanup of files, folders, systems, projects, accounts, or devices you were not authorized to manage.
17. Termination
17.1 This Agreement begins when you install, download, access, activate, or use ArtifactPilot and continues until terminated.
17.2 Your rights under this Agreement terminate automatically if you breach this Agreement. Upon termination, you must stop using ArtifactPilot, uninstall it from all Devices, delete all copies under your control, and stop using any license keys or purchase codes.
17.3 Sections concerning ownership, restrictions, safety responsibilities, privacy and local data, no warranty, limitation of liability, indemnification, marketplace terms, third-party components, governing law, and general terms survive termination.
18. Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, delegate, or sublicense this Agreement or any rights under it without NH Media LLC's prior written consent, except where mandatory law or the applicable marketplace license requires otherwise. NH Media LLC may assign this Agreement in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, change of control, or transfer of the ArtifactPilot business.
19. Governing Law and Venue
19.1 Unless a mandatory consumer-protection law or applicable marketplace term requires otherwise, this Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
19.2 Unless a mandatory law or applicable marketplace dispute process requires otherwise, any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement or ArtifactPilot will be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Dallas County, Texas, or in the United States federal courts for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, if federal jurisdiction is proper. You consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
20. Changes to this Agreement
NH Media LLC may update this Agreement for new versions of ArtifactPilot, new distribution channels, legal changes, or business changes. The version of the Agreement presented during installation, purchase, activation, or update applies to that installation or update. Continued use after an updated Agreement is presented means you accept the updated Agreement.
21. Severability; Waiver; Entire Agreement
21.1 If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect, and the invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced to achieve its intended effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
21.2 NH Media LLC's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
21.3 This Agreement, together with the applicable purchase terms, marketplace terms, product listing, documentation, privacy notice, support/refund policy, third-party notices, and order records, is the entire agreement between you and NH Media LLC regarding ArtifactPilot and supersedes prior or contemporaneous understandings about ArtifactPilot.
22. Contact
For licensing, support, legal, or privacy questions, use the contact method listed on the ArtifactPilot product page, invoice, marketplace listing, purchase receipt, or documentation. Do not send source code, secrets, credentials, private keys, protected health information, client data, or sensitive files unless specifically requested and appropriate.
